Our children's church, two classes, are holding their lessons under a very large mango tree at this time. Since it's going toward summer, it's still perfectly okay. But beginning May the weather could become unfavorable for these outdoor meetings. Maybe we could build classrooms for them at the back of the church building. A nipa hut divided into two would be a nice idea. What do you think?

Sunday Service (February 21 2010)
A regular Sunday service in our new building. We had a great time with the Word and with worship. Again, we would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to everyone who extended their help so that we could have our own place to worship God. Thank you very much. God continue to bless all of you.

Introducing our Officers and Workers in Living Rock Guimaras
Bro. Freddie Gaborno, Jr. read the opening Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:
1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Pastor Norman explains that we dedicate infants and very young children, we do not baptize them. Baptism is a PERSONAL choice which clearly infants and very young children are not yet able to do. It also involves FAITH (belief in Jesus), REPENTANCE (turning away from sin) and COMMITMENT to follow Christ (thus, the term Christian). All of these an infant or young child cannot do. We wait for them to reach the proper age when they will, on their own, with the guidance of their parents and church, come to a personal faith in Christ. So, we dedicate infants and very young children to the Lord. The Lord Jesus Himself was dedicate in the Temple when he was 8 days old and was baptized when he was 30 years old. Some are afraid that if they will not have their babies baptized and they died that they cannot enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven). These fears are unfounded since Christ himself said, Mark 10:14:
"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
